Your thoughts?
I still have one more row of blocks to piece ~ I'm playing with the insertion of color stripes rather than adding a border later. I've auditioned more greens that you can imagine, finally settling on this marvelous batik. [photo is clickable for a closer view]
Once the final row of blocks is ready, I'll spend a day or two contemplating the color distribution amongst the green charms before I actually stitch the top together.
Current thinking is to bind with a smallish black and white print (yet to be chosen as there's an order coming my way from e-quilter any day now)
What do you think about this direction?

WOW! I love how this quilt is turning out. Your idea of inserting the batik instead of a border later works really well, IMHO.
I always use a binding that is darker than the outside edge. . .so my thoughts would turn more towards a black marble or tone-on-tone rather than a b&w, but again, that is just MHO.
Can't wait to see how it looks when it is finished!
It is just fantastic!! I love that green and the layout is great! The binding I would probably do in black because the bindings tend to get the dirtiest first. But, my mouth is hanging open, because I love it!!
Wow! That is so striking!
I think I would like some WHITE somewhere in this. A piping around the inner green border?
ONE of the triangles? Hmm, it just seems too dark everywhere to me.
Fabulous!!!!!
love it! I can see a B&W stripe used as the binding...
WoW! I love the stripe insert instead of a border. Borders are so predictable. Your quilt has movement and a border would just reign that movement in. Those triangles want to dance! I was going to suggest the darkest green for a binding but I see black as well. I definitely do not think your quilt is too dark. Once you click on the picture, you see all the white and movement in the b&w fabrics. Excellent job!
This is great. I like the idea of the inner insertion, it looks very effective. As for the border I think you just have to try different fabrics and see which works best
Very appealing! I like the idea of inserting the green stripe in lieu of adding an outside border -- great idea. You have a super eye for selecting greens that pop. I like the idea of black binding, as mentioned by others earlier.
The inner strips look great, maybe a bit smaller?
There certainly is a big WOW factor with your quilt. Fantastic.
This is a WOW little quilt -
I like my bindings dark - as I read that many others do.
I love this quilt. It is so bright with the green colour..
I know this is late, but I've just come across this post. The colors are stunning! What did you decide to do for a binding? Green? Do tell!
