Wonky Blocks

I love my wonky blocks - after taking inspirition from Jacquie and her Orange Crush quilt - here is my humble sample.

I've loved working on this and I must say it has urged me to look at more contemporary designed quilts, both pieced and appliqued.

There is one small section however which needs a little TLC, I've got one slight mishap on a seam, which unfortunately I only noticed when 90% of the quilting was complete. So I'm considering adding a applique patch just to cover and protect that one section.
Thanks for the challenge - it took me a while to get going but once I'd decided on a designe that I was happy with, I was determined to finish before the end of this year.

Wonderful modern quilt! Great way to fix something on a quilt... applique over it!

Thank you ladies - well the 'damaged' section is covered - it blends in so well I couldn't find it to point out to my pal, who is every so worried about her own quilt not being 'perfect' that I wanted to reassure her that having a finished top, which I think is SUPER, is something to be proud off.

Congratulations on such a wonderful contemporary quilt! Glad to hear the 'patch' went well - finished is better than perfect!

Soggibottom just passing by and thought I would stop to say how beautiful your quilts are....seems I know "some things" about bears and not as much as I thought I did about quilts!

Thank you for entering Soggibottom's birthday give a way.
Season's greetings and good luck..

You are going to make me want to take up quilting again. These are too fun and so modern. Thanks for stopping by and visiting THE GRINCH in my garden. So glad this one is behind me. Starting on that Christmas Set, but not sure it's going to work out. May have to come up with some more butterflies. Oh, well.

Have a great holiday and keep up the great work.
